New needlepunch line for textile recycling in Poland

Andritz

Recycled fibers from old clothing are to be further processed into technical nonwovens for the automotive industry as well as for geotextiles. For this purpose, the nonwovens manufacturer Pureko Sp.Z o.o., Myszków/Poland, has ordered a needlepunch line from the international technology group Andritz AG, Graz/Austria, for the plant in Myszków.

The supply includes a complete neXline needlepunch eXcelle line – from web forming to needling – as well as engineering and Andritz’s scanning gauge. The final products will have fabric weights ranging from 300 - 500 g/m², and the production capacity will be up to 750 kg/h. Installation and start-up are scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2021.
This is the second Andritz line to be supplied to Pureko. 3 years ago, the company invested in a new, modern plant supplied by Andritz Asselin-Thibeau to produce fluffy nonwovens used in the furniture, textile, and clothing industries.
