Customers from the medical sector are currently looking to expand their existing production capacities. The same applies to customers in the hygiene sector who are switching from diaper to mask production, or to companies who want to enter these markets. Various European initiatives are pushing for the establishment and expansion of domestic production facilities. Fippi SpA, Rho/Italy, for example, has converted its diaper machines to face mask production and has achieved a capacity of up to 900,000 masks/day.

The technological solutions in this field range from simple intermittent manual welding to complex high-speed systems. Herrmann Ultraschalltechnik also offers various implementation options, from standard machines and components to complex rotary ultrasonic welding modules.
