Slitting-rewinding, spooling and splicing technologies

Through its brands Calemard and Decoup+, the French company Spoolex, Roche la Molière, offers a wide range of equipment with precise material tension control and guiding systems. Thus, whatever the materials require, low tension control, high or both, the equipment assures the production of rolls or spools with consistent tension, clean and straight edges for easy and reliable use on downstream operations.

Slitting machines for nonwovens
Calemard, the Machinery division of Spoolex, is known for Jumbo spooling lines. Furthermore, it also offers compact, versatile, adaptable and upgradeable off-line slitter-re-winders. They are all available with center surface rewinding technologies to produce larger diameter, narrow width pads at high speed, even with tension sensitive materials. Based on a modular concept, the equipment can be adapted to every specific need and environment constraints. All machines are equipped with some automation solutions for loading, unloading and conveying rolls, to guarantee reliability and productivity. Finally, the Calemard 4.0 division can provide different networked solutions to support production monitoring and productivity improvement processes.
Splicing technology
Thanks to its Decoup+ sister brand expertise in ultrasonic technology, combined with Calemard know-how in machine manufacturing, Spoolex also designs ultrasonic splicing units. On nonwovens, they provide strong, invisible and reliable plain splices, without additive element. The company is offering 2 technologies, butt-to-butt or overlap splicing for higher strength, under tailored-made configurations: either complete benches to be integrated in-line or separate off-line equipment. Because ultrasonic splicing solutions help reduce labor content, they are already used by many nonwovens producers all over the world in hygiene cost cautious productions. It is also an environmentally friendly process with wastage reduction and limitation of pollution risk.

The Index 20 has been postponed, and will now take place from October 20-23, 2020 in Geneva/Switzerland.
