The manufacturer of performance materials OrganoClick AB, Täby/Sweden, has signed a 5-year frame work agreement with a leading nonwovens manufacturer for supply of their bio-based binders. The estimated value of the contract is around SEK 30 million/year (€ 3 million) when the biobinder has been fully implemented in the customers production.
OrganoClick’s biobinder replaces the current binders based on mineral oils. OrganoClick has developed a range of bio-based binders for nonwoven and technical textiles under the trade name OC-BioBinder. These binders are completely biodegradable and 100 % compostable nonwovens can be produced.
During the coming 6 months (Q2-Q3/2021) OrganoClick will gradually ramp up its production and supply to the customer. For this 6 month period, OrganoClick has received a confirmed order volume to a value of SEK 5 million (€ 0.5 million). Full volume of the contract is expected to be reached in 2022.
