With Biolace Bamboo, the nonwovens producer Suominen Corp., Helsinki/Finland, launches a new plant-based nonwoven fabric for wipes. All the products in Suominen’s sustainable Biolace product family are made exclusively from renewable plant based raw materials and are biodegradable and compostable.

Biolace Bamboo is also plastic free. With its luxurious feeling and high softness it offers a biodegradable alternative to viscose and cotton nonwovens.
The Biolace Bamboo wipes also have superior cleanability when wet compared to other commonly used plant-based disposable nonwovens. The product is also very good for hygienic cleaning of hard surfaces, such as glass because the material is very low linting.
Compared to the traditional fossil-based nonwovens used in wipes, these products also provide a clear advantage in terms of reducing the CO2 footprint.
