The nonwovens producer Suominen Corp., Helsinki/Finland, and the fiber-based materials solution supplier Ahlstrom-Munksjö Oy, Helsinki/Finland, have signed a multi-year commercial agreement.
This is renewing their cooperation at the plant in Ställdalen/Sweden. Ställdalen is the most important production site of Suominen’s Hydraspun product family for the European market. This includes completely biodegradable moist toilet tissues produced from renewable materials. Thanks to closer co-operation Suominen will also be able to launch new sustainable innovations such as the Fine-to-Flush certificated Hydraspun Royal or new products with dispersibility like toilet paper. Furthermore, customers are now able to cross-qualify production sites on different continents and hence increase their security of supply.
Suominen also manufactures Hydraspun products at its pants at Windsor Locks, CT/USA as well as in Bethune, SC/USA.
